@theasp18 oh wow prodigy, I'll never forget typing out long complicated posts only to either have them lost due to prodigy disconnecting, or getting them deleted by the mods because (at least in the beginning) they didn't get that storyline related posts were "legit". The Evil Avatars, first online "community" I ever really felt a part of. I was also in Michael Morley's offshoot, Warriors of Tyrrany, oh wow, that was 20+ years ago. I feel so old.

@dooms33ker No, the SNES ports were TERRIBLE. The only console Ultimas worth playing were the NES ports of 3 and 4 and the SMS port of 4. The NES version of 4 is more "consolized" where the SMS one is more of a straight port (other than inherent limitations of a 2 button pad vs a full keyboard) but they're both at least playable. Renting the Ultima 7 SNES port from Blockbuster was quite an experience. In the same way that losing a limb would be an experience. About the only thing good about it was that you didn't need to spend hours tinkering with autoexec.bat and config.sys to get it running.

You know what's worse than the endings? The people whining about the endings. At least if they'd given this money to charity something good would come of this internet idiocy.
