#7: "Look at and play WoW and understand how to make a good MMO."
This comment is made so frequently it's ridiculous. The reality people ignore is that Blizzard looked to EverQuest to see how to make a "good MMO." Without EverQuest, there would BE NO WORLD OF WARCRAFT.
(Also, it's kind of a pity Blizzard didn't take a lesson from SOE on server reliability. That would make WoW so much more fun to play.)
