DS Daily: $179.99
Jan 17th 2009 10:55AM (Joystiq Nintendo)18 900 Japanese yen = 208.5804 U.S. dollars
However, that's not low enough as it's still not different enough from the DS lite to warrant another purchase.

Nov 13th 2007 7:05PM (Joystiq)If you like jokes that are based on characters and situations that involve some wit, then you love the Office for its brilliant writing.
If you like random jokes that come out of nowhere and are only funny because they are either very obscure or very broad then you like Family Guy.

Sep 17th 2007 8:30AM (Joystiq)That made me feel depressed and that was definitely art. I feel that adventure games have approached true art more so than any other gaming genre simply because of their ability to provoke emotion. Art doesn't have to be story, but in the case of Syberia, I was amazed.
It proved to me that gaming can be an artform.
New Mario Galaxy (Wii) trailer as shown at GDC
Mar 10th 2007 6:32PM (Joystiq)Look. Yes, Mario is a franchise that is a bit overused. But this isn't Mario Tennis or Mario Soccer or Mario Pachinko. This is a true Mario platformer, and knowing Nintendo they will make it good. And if it isn't good, they will delay it indefinitely until it is good, because that is what they do.
The graphics look incredible. I really don't see how you can have a Mario game in any other style, unless it's Paper Mario or something.
And 86... are you high? Okami was original? The guy himself said he was completely inspired by Zelda. And I love Okami, but Zelda not only did the art first with Wind Waker, but TP is objectively a better game, although it was disappointing in some places.
And seriously... you don't play Mario games for the art. When have you ever? I play some games for art, I play some games for story, and others for gameplay. Mario games I play for gameplay. And how do I know the gameplay will be good? Because I have played Mario platformers.
And by the way, if you don't think the art in TP is incredible, you obviously have not seen Hyrule castle in 480p on a projector. It is AMAZING.
The only complaint I have is with the low-res textures, but they were developed for the Gamecube, you can't expect them to completely redo all the textures just for the transition to the Wii.
No Wavebird Wii navigation (Wii annoyance #010)
Dec 3rd 2006 5:27PM (Joystiq)I mean is this really more annoying than the PS3 Bluetooth resyncing issue? This would be a more convenient way to browse the menu if playing a GC controller compatible game, but that really inhibits gameplay. So ummm, I guess I'm asking, and I really would like a response to this one, why is this an annoyance and that just a quibble?
