CDV vs SouthPeak legal battle gets much, much more complicated

Apr 17th 2010 3:55AM (Joystiq)
So, if i'm not mistaken, CDV have won this round?

If they've filed for bankruptcy protection then they don't have to pay their debts (which Southpeak just paid a lot to get), but southpeak still have to pay them.

So southpeak have simplpy bought a lot of debt?

Blockbuster weighs games-by-mail, Netflix dismisses it

One day game developers will figure out this rather important point, and figure out a way to sell their games for more than 3 months - like every other art/entertainment form.

That will be a great day.

in the meantime, we have GOG... and (at least in the UK) there are loads of DVD-by-mail stores that already do Games by mail.

"combat is that bit you do between platforming segments".

And that's the point. The combat is just there to give a break between platforming... no one plays PoP for combat, and half of us would be happy if they took it out completely.

PoP needs puzzles and platforming... leave the combat to action games like Uncharted or God of War.

Hopefully ubisoft will just call it quits and stop producing PC games. We really wouldn't miss them. Most of their games are console ports anyway, and if we want to play them we can get a console.

Right now they're just making the PC games industry look bad... the sooner they get out and let decent developers have a clear field at making original PC games the better.

Medal of Honor trailer defines Tier One Operative (in case you were wondering)

Mar 14th 2010 3:57AM (Joystiq)
You know, I've seen this Modern Warfare: Tier One trailer on several sites now... and suddenly about 3 days later I've just realised that it isn't Modern Warfare at all, it's Medal of Honor!! doh.

Huh? "glitcher" is actually something people call themselves?? And consider themselves to be profesional at?

I thought glitcher was a name other people called them, like Cheat, Idiot or Asshole. I had no idea!!
I wonder if there are pro-cheats and noob cheats? Pro-assholes and noob-assholes out there?
I must do more investigation immediately....
