Please tell me you're not taking advice from a union-owned debt consolidation website. First they rape you on union dues so you can be lazy and keep your job, and now they're raping you by "consolidating" your debt and paying them interest on what you already owe because you spent more money than you had.

That's what I thought about the pictures of the Malibu's interior until I actually went and sat in one. I'll save my judgment for when I see this thing in real life. In the pictures it looks amazing - but so did the Malibu. In real life, the Malibu interior was better than any GM I've ever sat in, but still not even close to being "on par with Acura." Not close at all.

I paid only $500 MSRP for mine, and now a year and a half later it still books (private party KBB and NADA) for only $3,000 less than what I paid for it... an amount I've easiliy paid off with payments so far. The same can't be said for my brother's parents-in-law's TrailBlazer, which they paid near MSRP for, but is now worth half what they owe beacuse GM is throwing so much cash on the hood of everything just to get rid of it that they're screwed driving the thing even though they hate it.

Doing some research before you buy is a pretty smart thing to do when you're spending that much IMO. The dealer near us constantly advertises $13,000 Dodge Caravans and 4X4 Dodge Ram 1500's on the radio... so I feel sorry for the poor bastard who spent $40K on one a few years ago, because now it's worth less than $13K, since you can pick up a new one for that.

"40% off Dodge Ram + 2.99 gas + 0% for 72 months is a good deal. If they cant sell for that they cant give em away."

That's just it - they're offering that and nobody is buying them STILL.

IF this happens I seriously hop they don't make them $48K for one with options that should be standard on a luxury platform... I'm looking at you 1 series.

I've known enough dudes with Harleys. They still love them - but none of them can really ever tell me why short of "it's loud" or "it's American."

I'll be happy with my 1300cc Yamaha sport tourer for the rest of time - slick, reliable, functional, very powerful (150hp) and not really cheap ($14,000'ish) but IMO I got everything I paid for.

That being said I'm not really a fan of Harleys. Read some Harley forum sometimes and you'll see some of the stuff those guys don't want you to know... it's pretty funny, actually. Always an entertaining read if you're bored. :-)
