Firm considers class action over Xbox Live bannings

Nov 19th 2009 3:13PM (Joystiq)
Man, I'm sorry, but are you really as dumb as you seem? There are solutions for scratched discs beyond rebuying them or modding your console and downloading copies. If they are relatively minor, you can buff them out, but if the label side is perfectly intact, you can get the disc resurfaced for ~$5 from sites like rubberdisc.com or skippydisc.com. I think some game stores have the machines to resurface discs as well but I haven't confirmed that.

YES! They're releasing it exactly the way I was hoping they would...the ability to play the whole medley from beginning to end, plus play songs individually. Can't wait.

SimCastle and SimMars scrapped in favor of The Sims

Hear hear! That's the first thing I thought of when I read the summary...I LOVED SimTower. Such a good game. SimAnt was a ton of fun too. I dunno what Joystiq is complaining about here. I remember sneaking in games of that during computer class in 5th grade. Knowing more about computers than the computer teacher knows FTW.

"Flash games based on Creed videos"

One of the most creative metaphors I've seen used to describe pieces of shit from hell. A+, good sir.

A2M trademarks 'Naughty Bear,' no one shocked

Ok, they are either very clever and self-aware, or they are very clueless. I have a hard time believing the latter, so I'd have to vote on the former.

FWIW, "bear" is a term for a hairy gay man, so who knows what this game could be about...

Battlefield Heroes updates coming in 'Heroes of the Fall'

Sep 21st 2009 10:53AM (Joystiq)
I played during the beta and had some good fun with it, especially with flying. It's definitely worth checking out, especially since it's free. During the beta, the only stuff that you would actually spend money on was the clothing. It appears now you can buy weapons, so I dunno if that throws off the balance of the game or not.

That's quite possibly the strangest and most unrelatable analogies I've ever seen written...

Nick Mason: We'd consider Pink Floyd Rock Band or Guitar Hero

Sep 16th 2009 1:12PM (Joystiq)
Agreed. "Piper" is the only album that would really work well in this game, and what a great album it is. Astronomy Domine, Lucifer Sam, and Interstellar Overdrive? Yes, plz.

I really can't see the epic Pink Floyd songs played out in a game like this. I know there's a ton of Floyd fans out there, but are there enough gamers among them to make this game a success? I don't think so.

What's in a Name: Gearbox Software [update]

Man, as far as name-origin stories go, that one is pretty action packed...would be moreso if I knew shit-all about poker.
