Is the switch on the side still mute now? Is there a setting to set what it does? I use it as a rotation lock WAY more than I'll use it as a mute switch.
I recently noticed that i went over my Text limit while checking out my bill. I went through the steps, and then at the end, they asked me if i wanted to retroactively apply it to june's bill. Which means the extra 600 texts i sent, at whatever the hell they cost, just disappear into an unlimited plan.
You would think with the iOS4 release imminent, that more of the apps that everyone wants to run in the background, would have released their updates...
Just in case people here missed it. Gizmodo hit this right straight square on the head.
"Tethering for the iPhone is here, finally! Hurray! Right? Wrong. First, consider that the old, non-iPhone tethering option offered you 5GB of tethering data for an extra $30 a month. The new plan charges you $20 extra to use the same 2GB pool of data for tethering. You are not buying extra data. You are simply paying extra to use it for tethering.
Let me repeat that: AT&T is charging you an additional twenty dollars a month based purely on how you use your data. This is bullshit, plain and simple.
Why does it matter how you use that 2GB? Why does it cost extra to use it in a slightly different manner, if you're paying for it all the same?
It's asburdity—especially when you consider the basic math. Under the old plan, you paid $60 a month for unlimited data, plus 5GB worth of tethering. Under the new plan, you will pay $45 for 2GB of data, total."
that, THAT, right there is why I make "backups" (rips/copies/pirating/what ever the hell you want to call it) of my own DVDs that I purchased (emphasis on purchased), and watch those instead.
If I PAID for the app already, you made your money. If you don't think that you're making enough money and you need to use ads, charge more for your app.
I'm not referring to the At Bat app specifically, but in general. Think about this on the other end of the spectrum. You pay for Photoshop (only, not the whole suite) so you get an ad bar in one of your toolbar pallets advertising the CS5 Master Suite.
Question. If i buy this now for my iphone, does the purchase transfer to the "ipad version" of the app if it's the same price? (not really related to this app specifically, however this is one i would surely buy to use at an upgraded size...)

I sticking with my grandfathered unlimited plan.
