EA gets lost in the woods with Wildlife: Forest Survival

Nov 11th 2010 12:16PM (Joystiq)
Reminds me of this game I used to play in elementary school on the Apple IIc. I can't remember the name of it right now though.

Rumor: Apple's TV subscription plans stall on "tablet eve"

Jan 26th 2010 2:25PM (TUAW.com)
"Not sure if you're being serious or not, but 420p is a common video resolution in the United States. There's 420i, 420p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. Apparently 420p is the resolution that Hulu uses."

I am pretty sure 480i or 480p is the common video resolution, not 420i or 420p

Kaleidescape claims new 1080p upscaling DVD players "rival Blu-ray"

Jun 18th 2008 10:36AM (Engadget)
To the common eye, maybe upscaled DVD's don't look very much different than movies on Blu-ray.

However, many of us are still forgetting a very immportant point. No matter how well the video is upscaled, the high resolution audio on a Blu-ray disc could NEVER be heard from a standard DVD.

Also, Blu-ray will be cheap enough in about a year, so why bother upscaling.

Also, unlike upgrading from VHS to DVD, where you had to buy new copies of your movies to play on the DVD player, an upgrade from DVD to Blu-ray doesn't require you to do that since all DVDs play in Blu-ray players.

GameTap is only $9.99 a month and is worth it beyond description.

I mean with games from the Sega Genesis, Master System, Neo Geo, PC, Arcade, Atari 2600, etc., I am in retro video game heaven.

NASA planning to set up shop on the moon in 2024

Sorry, I meant to say 6 to 10 years. A time range because who knows exactly when either the US or China will begin their moon bases.

NASA planning to set up shop on the moon in 2024

Dec 5th 2006 4:41PM (Engadget)
This is only in response to the Chinese planning their moon missions and moon base. Supposedly the Chinese wanted a base by 2032, so the US might beat them by 6 years.

I sense another space race.
