"You're not sitting on the couch putting in some pre programmed waggle commands."
Except he says that you can do EXACTLY that in the G4 interview after the speech ended. The "burn" is just BS.
The best part was that they showed Tony Hawk Ride and Beatles Rockband before this. I doubt their most important continuing franchise Halo Reach is going to detach itself from the traditional joypad.
So what are they really trying to say?
It was a very good show, I'll give them that much. They might pull everything off but I didn't interpret the 'promises' as anything more than self-contradictory.
GRANT: Or you could say, even if your assertion was 100% correct and not due to huge game sales and a few quality releases, that the Wii's huge success in the US is due to its marketing.
Which is Reggie.
PS: Wii was outperforming the DS for a couple months in the US. Yep, absolute handheld reliance. :P
To be honest I have maybe 10 Online friends so I don't have a problem with this.
While it's not the best solution right now, it really doesn't take long to write down and enter the codes. But then again I frequently search Miis with the Code Search on the Check Mii Out channel so I couldn't relate to how fragile your thresholds of patience are.
And in the end, while the game was supposed to be released TODAY, demanding future alternatives will only push back the game even more.
I never signed up for Smash Boards so I wouldn't have incentive to sign any one of them up as friends. Maybe they will include a RIVALS LIST like other games that use NWFC so if I want to play them again I can?
Or play/bet on/watch random matches, which require absolutely nothing.
Or even better, just play with your real-life friends, which made Smash Bros 64 and Melee so awesome in the first place.
