Joyswag: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

May 17th 2010 5:08PM (Joystiq)
I first played The Sands Of Time on GameCube. Still probably one of my top 5 games of all time. Or maybe number 6.

I'd prefer PS3 if I have to pick one. (But I would take either.)

Swag Sunday: Xbox 360 'Surprise' [update]

I'm going to guess Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Bros., in that order.

Hands-on: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (360)

Mar 29th 2010 1:12PM (Joystiq)
@YinzJagz: Prince of Persia is primarily a platformer, with action elements. God of War is primarily an action game, with platforming elements. They're different genres, but they have elements of the other genre in them. If someone comes to Prince of Persia expecting the amount and depth of fighting that God of War has, obviously they are going to be disappointed.

Interview: Spoiling Heavy Rain with David Cage

I think this game missed out on a lot of Lost-like connections between characters. Make the guy who robs Hassan's shop be the guy who Ethan has to kill. Make the guy with all the crucifixes be the one that shows up at the Doc's house selling Bibles (but somehow work it so that you still have a chance of escaping with Madison even if the guy doesn't show up). Have Kramer living in the house that Ethan designs at the beginning of the game. You probably wouldn't notice it on first play-through, and it wouldn't affect the plot, but it would at least make a second play-through much less boring.

'The Office' - 'New Leads' Recap

Mar 19th 2010 2:09PM (AOL TV)
I agree, my wife and I both said after the episode that it was one of the worst we've ever seen. I mean why are all the salesmen suddenly a douchebags, for one episode only, but then everything is reset at the end. That's lazy. At least give us an episode or two where the salesmen start to get douchier before the episode where it comes to a head. Everyone was suddenly, jarringly out of character, especially Jim. It was distracting, not funny.

'Parks and Recreation' - 'Park Safety' Recap

Mar 19th 2010 12:23AM (AOL TV)
I got the feeling that, on some level, Anne misses being Andy's mother/nurse figure, even though she found it annoying at the same time. Maybe Mark's just *too* independent for her? She is a nurse after all; she's used to taking care of people. And I wouldn't mind seeing an all-out passive-aggressive catfight between Anne and April.

Everyone hating Jerry bothers me too, but so did everyone hating Toby at first on The Office. So maybe the Jerry-bashing will grow on me too.

'The Office' - 'The Delivery' Recap

Mar 5th 2010 9:23AM (AOL TV)
Breastfeeding the wrong baby was one of the only parts that was way over the line in a driving-a-car-into-a-lake kind of way. When it happened I kept expecting them to say it was the other lady's baby, then it switched to another scene and I thought "thank goodness they didn't do something that ridiculous." Then it goes back to the hospital for the next scene and, sure enough, it was the wrong baby.

Does anyone know what Andy's dance was? Is it from some kind of viral video from YouTube? I'm sure Jenna Fischer had trouble not laughing when Ed Helms was doing pelvic thrusts right in front of her face!

Heavy Rain freezing, but not turning into snow

Feb 25th 2010 1:24PM (Joystiq)

CBS Locks Up CEO Les Moonves Through 2015 - UPDATE

Feb 24th 2010 10:13PM (AOL TV)
I saw this headline and thought it meant the CEO had been convicted of something and given a 5-year prison sentence. I got a few sentences into the article and was thinking "why are they talking like this is a great thing? Oh.... Now I see..."
