Er, paragraph.

Beta Beat: Kylo Browser featuring 10-foot interface

I can't parse that first sentence at all.

Droid doesn't. Have touchscreen accuracy, that is...

If you watch the video you'll see how they tested both firm and light touches (with varying results on the phones) and also how they explain that a fast line tracks less points, giving you a naturally straight line. A slowly-drawn line has many more points of reference and gives a better indication of accuracy due to more samples.

It's a simple but telling test they've come up with.

My turn to say to you: don't be that guy. No one beats 3 Demon's Souls bosses without dying. No one.

Change the behavior of the iTunes zoom button in 9

Sep 28th 2009 11:07AM (TUAW.com)
While it's true that the green + button has always behaved in a "nonstandard" way, in practice the ability to "maximize" iTunes has always been basically a non-issue. Esp. since OS X's maximize behaviour doesn't do full-screen like on Windows, but rather zooms "as big as necessary to contain the window content".

Since practically everyone I know uses iTunes at a size that is confortable as a matter of course, the new Maximize behaviour in iTunes just resulted in a slightly-smaller window of arbitrary size.

I use the miniplayer all the time as it gives info and controls without taking up a lot of screen real-estate. Would have been happy to keep option-click to invoke miniplayer and keep UI purists happy, but I'd like to hear the rationale that the "standard" maximize is better for iTunes. It may be more consistent but it's certainly not more *useful*.

Of course if you have a 360 WiFi adaptor you are screwed, they still don't support WPA2.

Wow. I used to play Alien Breed on my Amiga 500.

Driving along in my automobile, with an iPhone or iPod

I don't have a car but I often rent/Zipcar a ride, and I'm just happy if I find an Aux In jack. I don't care about all the other fancy "integration"; all cars should have regular 1/4" line in jacks like that. It's the most compatible solution, its cheap and it works with everything. Radio adaptors are crap.

Waiting until they add this sort of feature to GoSkyWatch, that's my favourite stargazing app.

Apple's affectionate, slightly starstruck Twitter HQ profile

I think the "humanity" usage was more a reference to simpler, "more humane" interface concepts, rather than saying Twitter is one of the greatest inventions in human history. That's how I read it anyways.
