DS Daily: Any Phats still out there?

Jul 23rd 2008 11:11AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I bought a Lite for my fiance and I to have and gave my mom the Phat. I think this year for Christmas I'll get her a Lite of her own and put the Phat out to pasture.

And I should have posted immediately when I saw this story instead of "working".

So far I've said Mario Kart, Clubhouse Games, Phoenix Wright, and today I think I'll go with Professor Layton. The art style was inspired, the voice acting was actually pretty decent, and having a story to go along with your brain busting puzzles really made it great. On top of that I gave the game to my mom after I got done with it and she was able to beat all puzzles on her own with no internet (she doesn't have it, lol).

Somehow I forgot about a game when I was coming up with my list. I said Mario Kart first, followed by Clubhouse Games, but somehow I blanked and forgot about Phoenix Wright. So today I'm going to cheat and say All of the Phoenix Wright games. They're all fantastic.

My vote for second best game on the DS has to go to Clubhouse Games. It's not complicated, it's not advanced in any way, but for sheer pick-up-and-play gaming it's perfect.

The best game on the DS? I don't know if it's the best, but Mario Kart is easily the one I play the most. Layton was great, but short. Phantom Hourglass was fantastic, but lacked replay value. Advance Wars is fun, but not all-the-time fun. My vote is definitely for Mario Kart.

Joking aside the most rebellious thing I have done was steal the letters off my dorm in college. In my defense though: Naming the dorm "Woody" was just asking for someone to steal it.

I litter...like constantly. And sometimes I'll lean up against a No Loitering sign and just loiter the crap out of it all day long.
