Really, "shit" on MGS4, when Cliffy B makes games that were not inspired by Kojima, then we can talk. GOW2 looks good, but we cannot say until both games come out. I seriously doubt that GOW2 is going to be that much better. In fact my money is on MGS4, when Gears has twenty years of quality, then there are comparisons to be made. You respond to me after I give a honest opinion. Relax....make love to Cliffy B. I have played the first Gears, the ending sucked, as did the story, so now you know I have played it. Seriously, making a base judgement off of a damn trailer, it LOOKS the same. Hopefully its not. Joystiq loves it already.

While the game looks intense, I just get a overwhelming sense of sameness, as with others on this board. Nothing personal against Gears, but I hope the storyline is much better. I am just not as excited for this game. Not that I know, but early judgement at best...weekend rental with some cold beer!!!

WOW just WOW........ I remember not to long ago Joystiq basically creaming their respective pants over Halo 3 footage. Albeit, only a trailer (pre-rendered as it was) similar to the Resistance 2 trailer, they LOVED it. Well I guess we all know, as always, Joystiq really kind of has this sick, weird, love for Major Nelson and Billy. Kind of sad Joy, actually really sad. The trailer looked decent to me, thats why they call them trailers. What do ya' want for nothin' a RRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUBBBBBEEEERRRRRRRRRR BISCUIT.

While I thought the first game was fun, and am looking forward to the second. Epic needs to do more than just churn out a sequel with the same crap. For starters a wayyy better story, and dialogue that isn't ripped from Stallone's Cobra. Plus, why does everyone kiss Cliffy's ass (cough Joystiq) he kind of forces it, kind of like Nintendo Power, 80's rad cool kind of way.

Well, if the game comes to the 360 so be it. I have both systems, I just prefer the PS3. When the announcement happens, Joystiq can cream there pants in a circle jerk with Major Nelson, and all can be happy. Bottom line is this, if it is a year, most people who are true MGS fans will buy the game and have beaten the game in that time. The 360 will get the game after a year, with some XBOX Live addition (if Live is working by then) and people will buy it on that system, if it is still relevant. The days of console exclusivity are gone, I personally think that it is a mistake, but only time will tell. Don't worry about things that have or have not happened yet. Enjoy your system, don't buy into the hype. If I would have listened to Joystiq, I would have bought Halo 3 twenty times over by now. My biggest irritation about the story is Joystiqs seemingly undying love for the XBOX, relax boys Uncle Billy will cut you a nice check for this one.

You are assuming your 360 will still run, or you will be able to hear the game over one of the 10 disks its on.

Sony tries to pull this, you jump their shit. Microsoft does it, you quietly post the story. Its not like Microsoft thinks their console as is, is good enough. What a way to further segregate the market, and as a huge screw you to early adopters. I own a 360 and I enjoy it, but man this would extremely upset me. Maybe this new version won't be heard two states over.
