It depends on how realistic you're expecting your experience to be. If you expect to dominate the sport by yourself by getting a home run every time you're up to the plate, you're not only going to sorely disappointed, you're probably going to wind up incredibly frustrated.

I can't imagine baseball is a big enough sport overseas to justify localizing it into the six or seven languages (or however many it is) necessary for a EU release.

There's no way they're actually calling the controller a "WiiPad."

You're not thinking like a publisher. The benefit is for them.

Instead of bothering with giving exclusive previews and review copies to gaming sites, or worry about having to blackball sites that don't score their AAA games highly enough, they can just cut out the middleman and give 10/10 reviews to their games themselves.

I wonder if they fired any QA people. That is, if they ever had any QA to begin with, since it seems Obsidian can never be arsed to bug test their games.

Yeah, I don't actually mind the setting. At least it's not more Renaissance, or the future.

Still, I think the Russian revolution would have made a brilliant setting. No human being is more deserving of being a video game final boss than Grigori Rasputin.
