It was arguably a cultural phenomenon since V: The Miniseries was SUPPOSED to be the whole story. High ratings caused the sequel mini-series and TV series to be made.

Used to work at Gamestop in mgmt and we always tested the systems BEFORE accepting them in trade since you got lots less for a "bricked" system.

Never reformatted a PSP memory card or GB/GBA/DS cart though. That wasn't "standard procedure"
