Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light leaping to Xperia Play

Sep 29th 2011 8:56PM (Joystiq)
I love my Play. I've got every emulator possible, including Mame... as well as every game i've ever loved when I frequented the arcades and played on my SNes and Genesis. I hope they support it with more, but i can be satisfied with it's capabilities now. Just more ps ports would be nice.

Is it me or do those characters look an awful lot like avatars? I mean I'd love to play as my facsimile in a zombie killing game...

Most definitely a 'chose your own parts' kit would be awesome. You could show off all your characters, although painting would be up to you...

Soul Caliber. For the first time, to me, human characters looked human, not boxy torsos shifting and moving. This was the 'game changer' game for me, proving that console power had truly improved.

As an added bonus, I was working for EB Games back in 9.9.99 and had demoed Soul Caliber in the Dreamcast kiosk. I had a break before the store opened, so started playing Soul Caliber in front of the throngs of salivating players. When I was done I pushed the kiosk right to the window and was amused at the amounting of gawking and double takes from the gathered drooling masses.

You know, everyone seems to be reacting to this game like they are ignoring WfC. How are they ignoring it? They are working on a different game in a different setting. For all we know, they are working on WfC2 right now parallel with this game. It's most likely going to be a decent game, just not as inspired as WfC.

Do WANT!

Chrome Hounds customization and Tim Schaffer rolled into one? Gameplay looks pretty slick too.
