Two things. One, if you're going to leak a picture of a phone, don't smear vaseline on the lens before you take the picture. That doesn't make for good pictures! Two, take more than one picture. You've got the phone in your possession. I'm sure you can figure out a way to take more than one picture and make one of them not look like you're taking a picture of a yeti through thick brush.
"It was glorious, it was awe-inspiring, it was waves of gratitude from the massive collection of the lesser classes crashing over the Internet and into your headphones inspiring you to greatness."
The game is losing its grip with me as well. There's a point where you decide that reality may be more important than repute within a virtual world, by your calculations only within time's reach. Let's face it, when a good percent of the game requires you to play it as if you were working off some kind of divine debt, it's something you're in for the long run.
The only reason, I think, people have been playing as long as they have is because the game does accrue in a meaningful way unlike other games that not only end, but are completely severed from any kind of community, leaving behind the idea that you can create some kind of towering avatar that you couldn't possibly achieve in reality. And again, only within time's reach. The game only requires time. There's no skill involved. Your impressiveness as a character is directly related to the amount of time you have poured into them. And some people lust for that kind of respect from their peers, and thus they may sacrifice a dangerous amount of time. That's why I bet a lot of people have already decided that they're going to stick it out until the last second those servers are up. They are hoping people begin leaving.
If there's anything Blizzard understands it's the relationship between randomly generated rewards and addiction. That mystery combined with the ability to control your progression with simple tasks that only require time, not skill, allow for the very true notion that shiny things and respect is only within time's reach.
