After reading about this game all yesterday, I actually dug out my old Xbox and copy of the game to give it a whirl late last night.

The Joystiq Free Game Club: Warfare 1917

Just played through the campaign. Pretty fun early on, though there isn't really much strategy, especially once tanks come into play. Once you get tanks, it's all about "will my artillery hit the enemy tank?" and "will incoming artillery miss my tank?" A lucky shot either way makes the battle swing wildly in favor of whoever has a tank left standing. I guess that's like real war, but it's maybe not the best gameplay design.

Yeah, I hate it when people enjoy a game that I don't like.
