I would say not yet. Nintendo is doing games like Wii Fit but there still making the games they are famous for. I would say that Activision (who were the rebel of industry in the 80s) more of a sell out than Nintendo.

Selling out is often seen as gaining success at the cost of credibility.

No Superman Returns is a 100% sequel to the Reeves movies. From the way Superman/Clark looks to the Lois Lane faint to the kind of campy way the movie goes, this was a sequel. It looked like something Mario Puzo would write.

The reason alot of user said that Nintendo conference sucked is because of the promises that other said (IGN is good example), this is basically fanboyism that made a mediocre showing look even worse. Sony on the other hand had a lot of exclusive 1st party games that they didn't show a lot to make them a must buy.

They showed their best game first and for now MAG sucked. Nintendo will always show something later because they didn't show s*** today. Sony show a lot of stuff with no meat, just bones.

Seeing all 3 conference I got to say this:

1 -Microsoft.

I think that HD-DVD was a finished format and better format than Blu-Ray.

I also believe that Marketing was the real winner in this war. Which is the reason Blu-Ray will have problems in the future. You need time to make the format acceptable for the common people. Blu-Ray's marketing started strong... too strong considering that the format was not finished. They push HD-DVD out of the way at Sears, Circuit City and CompUSA. You need to go to the back of the store to see and HD-DVD player, let alone a HD-DVD demo. I can't blame the HD-DVD people for not promoting. It wasn't ready for mainstream consumers to consume yet. Blu-Ray was less ready and they promote like it was a stable format. Big Mistake.

Now that the war ended we have movies that may not play in older players. A format that is constantly upgrading. And ugly Blue DVD cases. When the real costumers complain that will be the end of the format. And we will be HD format less. Thank Engadget HD and Sony fanboys.

The big problem I have with the series is that it was too dark. I mean Metal Gear Solid 2 dark. It looks more darker when you compare it with the original material.
