Miyamoto: 'Ratchet & Clank' who? Lombax what?

Dec 14th 2007 5:02PM (Joystiq)
Platformers have been around for ages. Honestly never had the motivation to play the platformers of today (Jakm R&C). Maybe I'm missing some crucial concept from never playing the game, but it looks like the same things that's been done for years except prettier and more 3D-ier.

On that same note, I stopped playing Mario console games after 64.

I wonder what this innovative opening movie business is all about.

I bet it's something interactive, like you can change the perspectives or views. Like you can see the entire cinematic from the view of any of the soldiers or even boss characters as you beat them in the single player. That'd be pretty cool.

African women's blog upset over Resident Evil 5

Oh and all forms of zombie entertainment cater to discrimative feelings and desires. I mean who typically like zombie movies, mostly nerds, geeks, and social outcasts. The zombie represents the people this group of people would love to kill, the brainless slackjawed mall-crawling individual.

So what's my point? I dunno. Maybe we love to kill people not like us.

African women's blog upset over Resident Evil 5

One thing I'm curious about, if the basic premise of this game was made into a movie or even a book would it be considered racist?

Now I'm still going to play the game, but I see where the author is coming from. Video games' first purpose is to fulfill desires that we can't perform in real life. And though everyone is championing the "this game is rated M" stance kid's are still going to make their way to this game.

Because video games deal with role-playing rather than the passive participation of movie watching or reading I think it is necessary to start giving more game the Ao rating. When you get right down to the addictive nature of some video games you might as well consider them as a narcotic. Certain video games need to be handled like alcohol or porn.

But the problem with this would be the glorification of Ao games by minors who can no longer actively reach these games. So what is to be done.

You know I've been hoping Killer7 would get the "waggle" upgrade. Maybe there's still hope.

New Katamari Damacy shirts roll into your life

Mar 14th 2007 9:22AM (Joystiq)
After reading some of Takahashi's comments on the shirt designs I regret (even more) that he decided to stop making games. The guy has a weird mind, something sorely lacking in the video game world at times.

What funk is SEGA in?

I keep hoping Sega is going to pull a New Coke, Classic Coke maneuver on us. It could happen... right?
