Industry have been echoing the statement of pure online media for years. but it just isn't happening for many reason.

by the main reason is the people who go out and get high end videos are collectors you cant put a digital file on the auction block. people will always want hard media.

the change going in is that its gonna be another way for consumer to obtain medai.

just like net flix hasn't replace brick & Mordred stores but its a different means in witch to rent.

i dont know about all this while it expected for game dev and employee's to have some benfit they should be able to break rules more than any other players wither there doing so it is ,is debatable.


other company's tend to be more strick with there employees and family's. arena i know bans its employees form ranked completive plays and tourneys to prevent unfair advantage.

although the same cant be said for wow because money isnt being made by winning anything so its a whole different animal

the other problem I have is when you compare online to print.

you have to pay for print mags and while your paying for it, it will still have large amounts of advertising.

In comparison online we online pay for the connection but that is something we would of done anyways

there are still ads but no fee with content that are the same and sometimes better with the ability to correct error instantly and offer your two cent too like minded people.

it because of this reason I think print media is having a hard time


on another note no media ever seems to dies it just get smaller every time something else comes along being forced to share the spot light.
