I think we should be more pissed off at Nintendo here than the 3rd party developers

I mean look at what windows pc's can do with a pentium 4 processor gameswise along with a decent graphics card, my pc has a 3ghz pentium 4 processor and an ati x600 graphics card, not exactly top of the range but at 1024 x 768 games dont look half bad on it. espicially men of valor and battlefield 2 among others, and play pretty well!

without having windows etc running in the background, games could easily look as good as 360 or ps3 games at 720P if a dedicated games console were to have a similar cpu and graphics card eg the wii

therefore i think nintendo got greedy and are substituting graphics for profits, and so we should be pissed of at them and not the third parties.

on the other hand, the wii as about fun and not graphics anyways so mellow out dude lol

i could have got a wii today!

was in a gamestop in Northern Ireland and the guy was like "we have three wii's in, do you want to buy one" and he even offered to keep it for me for an hour while i went and got money out but my parents would have killed me for walking in with a £190 games console 6 days before xmas.

i regret it now :(

#1 the wii is, technically speaking, an overclocked gamecube and thats something nintendo arent denying:

therefore it makes sense to port the ps2 versions of games than the ps3 or 360 versions as the wii is much closer technically to these consoles

and I dont think they 'tack on' some motion controls as an afterthought as it were in the way you implied, I think they take the ps2 version and use the motion sensing of the wii to make it genuinely better

the wii isnt about graphics its about gameplay!

that said im sticking to my 360! lol!

They left out the sony being sued over rumble in the ps2 and having to remove it from the ps3.

while this is a recent one I still think its relevant and if this hadnt have happened i doubt we would be seeing a rumble free motion sensing ps3 controller

also, £425 is what they will be charging for the ps3 in Northern Ireland which is 829 US dollars or two hundred dollars more than what the americans will be paying so apologies for being a bit cranky about the ps3!

im sure it is an amazing piece of kit, I just feel a bit screwed over by $ony atm so want the 360 to kick their asses

hmm i actually think this could work!

the ps3 sucks for games but has a better screen for watching videos than the zune or the ipod.

if sony could make like 4 and 8 GB memory sticks for cheap this could really take off!

and if they offered a free version of all their content broken up by adds this could leave their competitors in the dust!

as much as im pissed off by the ps3 (go wii60) im with sony on this one!

#8 to be fair i like the 360 over the other 2 consoles but i was saying that the reality is it wont sell as well as the others.

i was saying that the wii will be a runaway success as nintendo are already making profit on it and it is becomming more of a fashion icon than a games console

and i was saying that, in reality sony are doing well financially as the money they lose on the ps3 will be recovered threefold from the ps2 department. they are just getting started and have the means to reduce the price signifigantly once all the sony fanboys have theirs.

therefore i dont believe the 360 will sell much over 20 million units in its lifespan while the ps3 will sell at least 50 million, along with the wii. however i love my 360 and wont be getting a ps3 or a wii coz i think a 16x disc drive is better than a 2x disc drive, 9GB is more than enough for any game atm, rumble is better than motion sensing and XBL is better than any Sony equivalent!
