Joyswag: Fallout 3 (PS3)

Nov 6th 2008 9:50PM (Joystiq)
Fire Justin McElroy... out of a cannon... into the sun!

The AP asks: Where's the Dark Knight game?

Aug 8th 2008 11:12AM (Joystiq)
If you're that desperate for Batman action go rent the latest Stuntman game. It has an eerily similar "Batman" scene in which you drive a Bat Pod style motorcycle and even face off against their version of The Joker in a semi-truck. It's a lot more campy than The Dark Knight (and climaxes in you jumping your "Batcar" into the Joker's space rocket (!?!)) but it definitely reminds me of the movie's vehicular action.

PSP camera unlikely to come to US

Jul 29th 2008 9:28PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Don't forget MyStylist! My girlfriend imported the clothes management "game" when it came out in Japan and the camera came bundled with it. It really is a piece of garbage, all 1.3 megapixels of it. Now, if there were any games that made real use of it maybe I'd have gotten more than 10 minutes use out of the thing.

Midnight Club: LA trailer: in the daylight, no traffic

Jul 29th 2008 5:22PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I'm so terribly worried because this trailer reminds a little too much of L.A. Rush which I personally found boring beyond belief. Whatever happened to racing games with crazy shortcuts and physics-defying, time-bending powerups? It was much more fun than this "realistic underground street racing" stuff we've been stuck with lately.

Counting Rupees: E3 lives!

Jul 24th 2008 6:32AM (Joystiq)
I made it to E3 2000 and 2001 and I personally am happy to see those days gone. Watching Tony Hawk skate a huge half-pipe at Activision's booth didn't do anything to help me see, play, or write about his new game. It was just a distraction. I myself felt about 70% of the old E3 was a distraction and, as has been said repeatedly, a waste of money.

Would you really have those days back? When poor old Sega would have to spend an extra million for some bikini girls and holographic projector display just to get you to even look at Vectorman? They'd go broke before they could even finish it.

Yes, this new E3 is pretty tame but I'm glad these guys ran the numbers and pointed out that coverage, no matter how un-glitzed, was still just as high as ever.

Deal: R-Type Command for $19

Jul 23rd 2008 6:46AM (Joystiq Playstation)
For my $40 I don't think I've bought a game in years that actually provided the value I expected from the cost. R-Type Command has been in my PSP for months and at $20 I hope even more people give it a chance. It really is a wonderful strategy game with its own modest little twist in the story.

Joystiq E3 hands-on: HAWX

Congratulations no not mentioning Ace Combat.

Castlevania Judgment screens beg to be judged

Jul 9th 2008 9:22PM (Joystiq)
I forget, what was Konami's last fighting game? Surely it wasn't Deadly Arts on the N64, though that's kinda the vibe I get from these screenshots. I'd personally prefer another middling 3D adventure game over a fighter but I'm still intrigued for more.

PS3's trophy system explained

Jun 30th 2008 11:47AM (Joystiq)
Good point. Suddenly one day in 2012 Super Rub-A-Dub might be appealing once again... but I doubt it.
