Fanswag: Win the ultimate Halo 3 setup

Sep 17th 2007 7:14PM (Joystiq Xbox)
O.O

Whoa.

GO X3F! GO X3F! You run an awesome news blog here. Nothing compares to it, and this contest is the ULTIMATE PROOF.

Four different controller options for Super Smash Bros.

Jun 30th 2007 12:45PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
@ Jackson Pritt (#12) and *maybe* Tom (#20):

Keep in mind that the Wiimote has SIX buttons usable during gameplay, not two. A, B, +, -, 1, and 2. Any or all of those can be used in whatever way necessary. Plus waggle, which people have already mentioned. As far as the sideways Wiimote goes, I wouldn't mind flicking it upwards to jump, or other functions like that.

Btw, Tom, two things: First, you can't move or attack while shielding anyway, making the d-pad useless, so I wouldn't mind using A to shield. Second, I dunno about you, but personally, using the trigger with the Wiimote being sideways is easy for me. It's already right next to my finger, so all I have to do is extend my finger a bit, like pushing a sideways button (which it kinda is, in this case).

Wii Warm Up: Paint it Black

Jun 23rd 2007 2:16PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
@Grey Acumen:

But what if disapproving guests or those darn impressionable little kids came over and saw it?

Best case scenario: You don't know anyone like that, everyone you know either loves it or doesn't care.

Worst case scenario: Everyone who's taken sex ed either avoids you or screams something along the lines of "WHAT DID YOU DO TO THAT POOR CONTROLLER?!?!", while everyone who's too young to understand ends up jacking off to porn sites for the rest of their lives, never EVER getting a girlfriend from then on.

I know, that's an exaggeration, but I did say "WORST case scenario," didn't I?

Xbox 360 Qee Giveaway - Day 3 [update 1]

Jan 18th 2007 1:16PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Coffee, soda, energy drinks, caffeine pills, etc. Then, once supercharged, a midnight snack: either we're victorious and eat n00bs, or we're frustrated and eat the controller. O_o

Wii like to (Mario) party

Jan 5th 2007 12:19AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Huh. Actually, I very clearly remember seeing this same video a long while back, before the Wii even came out. o.O But I unfortunately can't remember where...Oh, wait! I remember, it was at NWiiZone.com! That place seems much less official, reliable, and witty than here (though it DOES look cool), but it was the EXACT same video, and that can't be faked. This is still my favorite Wii news site, but I'm surprised this old news has only just now reached Wii Fanboy...

Sonic load times are slow ... very slow

Jan 1st 2007 9:09PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Oh, on another topic: Metalcore, have you no shame? If you're gonna brag and be obnoxious about the PS3, do so at PS3 Fanboy, PLEASE. Every console has its advantages and disadvantages; I can think of more than a few problems with the PS3 as well. Please, either shape up or shut up.

Sonic load times are slow ... very slow

Jan 1st 2007 9:01PM (Joystiq Xbox)
"Why did they have to let Sonic go this way? The demo didn't have loading times like this... you can tell there just wasn't enough work from the developers." - Ciaran Gallagher

No worries about that, the real stages load the same as in the demo. And I hated that particular town mission too - because it's got the WORST LOADING PROBLEM IN THE GAME. There are only a couple other town missions in the game that have more than just the beginning and ending loading screens, and even those aren't as bad as this one. Still, I wish Sega had realized that it's stupid to make people wait through a long loading screen to see a short comment and then another long loading screen for the level. But keep in mind, TOWN MISSIONS ARE SIDE QUESTS. The real, required missions are much better with loading.

"The story is poor and makes little sense." - Andrew GO

Only if you don't know much Sonic history at all. The story has its problems, but it makes a lot more sense than you think.

What did Santa leave under the tree?

Dec 25th 2006 4:52PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I got a couple games for my Wii - Red Steel and GT Pro Series, with steering wheel. I also got games for my Xbox 360 - Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 and Ninety-Nine Nights. On top of that, I got some awesome vinyl skins off of decalgirl.com for my Wii, Wiimotes, and PSP. Having a lot of game systems rocks. ^_^
