Future Xperia phones may not rely on Windows Mobile, sez SE

Sep 16th 2008 7:57AM (Engadget)
Way to reel in those developers to develop for Sony's Xperia X1 panel platform. No better way to get those developers clamoring for the SDK than to say any future versions of their phone will make any work done for the X1 pointless.

iPhone 2.1 update is out: bug fixes and longer battery life promised

Sep 12th 2008 12:28PM (Engadget)
So you are comparing the time Microsoft had to develop Vista BEFORE it came out to the time Apple's worked on its second generation iPhone AFTER it was released? (not smart) Or are you saying that the iPhone 3G only had two months to develop before it came out? (outright lie) Or are you saying that Vista's been out for 5 years? (outright lie)

Do you not see the gaping holes in your logic here? IPhones use MacOSX, which has been out for a long time. The 3G is the second iPhone. The first iPhone hasn't had anywhere near as many problems as the 3G. What's worse, is that people's touches and iPhone 1st gens are now suffering because the software has become dramatically worse.

Even your NAME is iPhone.

iPhone 2.1 update is out: bug fixes and longer battery life promised

Um, people are saying that it's the price of being an early adopter in regards to this constant stream of do-nothing iPhone fixes. Yet when Vista came out, it's faults were strictly because Microsoft makes a crap product.

...Double standard? Pot, you should meet Kettle.

I almost spit my Vanilla Coke all over myself and my work monitor looking at that picture. That is _TIMELESS_.

The Bill Day giveaway (part 4) - Windows Vista Ultimate

My favorite Microsoft product would probably have to be Windows 2000. That OS was the definition of a workhorse. It's still used to this day, and is probably the most rock solid OS in terms of viability upon time of release to overall stability. At least in my opinion.

Shane Kim: First console to 100 million wins

May 21st 2008 3:38PM (Joystiq)
Statements like this just seem.. I don't know, childish to me. I get the vibe that Microsoft wouldn't be saying this at all if they had the numbers the Wii does, but since they don't, they make a sham of an attempt to delay the declaration of a winner; a tactic they feel will give them more time to take the lead.

This, to me, is Microsoft's 'next-gen doesn't start until we say so'.

MEGAowch: Haze handed 4.5 review by IGN

I don't understand how any one can say this game is an example of Playstation 3 failing as a console. To my knowledge, Sony offered to help this game during its development but that offer was denied. If a developer makes a choice to make a game for one console and it bombs, it's somehow the developer's fault? I don't get how that makes sense. A crap game is a crap game, regardless of who made it for what platform. Fanboys, either PS3 or 360, need lives.

Your console is meant to be a form of entertainment. It's not some line drawn in a war against another group of people who spent their money elsewhere. This can be said for any console: If your console of choice was so great, wouldn't you rather spend your time actually playing the system rather than bickering about why your system of choice is better? It's stupid.. Meh. Rant over.

But I call it here. This begins the era of "Even Goldeneye got a 4/10" for every crap game that gets overhyped and then is appropriately reviewd.

PS3 firmware 2.35 released, improves stability of 'some PS3 titles' but not GTA IV [update]

May 15th 2008 8:55AM (Joystiq)
I have both systems and I got it for the PS3. Main reason for me was that the PS3 was told to have fewer pop-ins and a more consistent frame rate. I sort of prefer the DS3 to the 360 controller, also, so that's why I picked it.

I wish more people had microphones online, but I'm sure the majority of it would be racist insults that I'd ignore anyway for the most part. That's the only downside I've experienced.
