@eat it I'm an Xfinity subscriber and I can get HBO go on my laptop, iPad, and Android phone, but it's "unavailable" through the Roku. I think Xfinity is ok with people watching stuff on their mobile devices, but they prefer to have you actually watching HBO or HBO on Demand on your TV through their device. I will be very surprised if HBO Go is available for Xfinity subscribers on the Xbox

If you have Xfinity/Comcast just move along, nothing to see here....It will be blocked just like on the Roku.

@Vcize The bottom-line is that Microsoft's 1 month exclusive agreement with Activision for COD DLC is through 2012. Regardless of Elite, the agreement is a month and it continued through 2012.

Funny how many people think it's just 10 maps.

Personally, as a dedicated COD player I'm beyond thrilled that I finally get 1-2 new maps every month.

@ChaseHammerJ Obviously it isn't for some people, but for those that love the game and always buy every map pack, there's absolutely nothing BS about it. If you're not committed to buy every map pack, you shouldn't pay for Elite. Fortunately, for Activision, there are millions of us that are committed.

As a fan and paying Elite member this is awesome. First of all, new maps in January. I've always wanted that since January is when the current rotation gets stale. Secondly, bravo for giving us fewer maps, but much more frequently instead of 4-5 new maps just 3 times a year. Lastly, there's no point whatsoever bitching about $50 per year for Elite because all DLC is included. Essentially, you're paying for DLC, which is what I've always done as a fan of the series. Last year I basically paid $45 for 3 Black Ops map packs. Now I'm paying $49 for new maps every month!

@AutobotIronhide It will not even get close to outselling Call of Duty and nor does it have the potential. The Call of Duty machine is a massive giant that will not be slowed down by another Battlefield Bad Company.

A rumor hit just a week or so ago that Respawn was working on a "futuristic shooter" or maybe it was described as "sci-fi."

This image does remind me of Halo! Yeah, I agree though, they won't go that futuristic. Maybe they're thinking, ok, the two most popular styles of shooter for the last few years has been COD and Halo....let's combine the two!

It's not even close to the same to compare GH and Tony Hawk to COD. Yes, Activision is milking COD, but it's working. Each entry continues to break sales records and surpassing the previous entry. You're also comparing a very novelty and niche market to a very significant gaming genre.
