Mar 1st 2007 7:08PM (Joystiq)"Let's say you had a ten year old son, and got your wife a diamond necklace, and your son was with you when you bought it. The son then asks if he can tell his mom about it, and you say "no, just wait a couple days". He then asks what you would do if he told, and you say "son, I'd beat the crap out of you" and the INSTANT he gets home he tells her, and then you beat the crap out of him. Sounds right."
irregardless of the creepy, child abusey thing that you said, that analogy is wrong. and misleading. Kotaku isn't a "child" and actually HAS rights in this situation. Further more, the "father" sony, didnt actually give the "child" kotaku the information. the "child" kotaku heard it from a friend of his on the playground and then asked the "father" sony if it was true. the "father" sony said they had no comment, but if you tell anyone else, ill stop buying you food. the "child" kotaku, unable to resist the awesome secret "he" kotaku had decided to tell everyone in spite of his "father's" sony's assholeish demands. sony then stopped buying kotaku food. methinks, the father should have been more careful about keeping his secret from the neighborhood children...
and lastly, the "father" sony didn't tell them at all about any sort of press release window.
please research your facts next time before you put together creepy analogies.
