Crackdown meets the real world

Feb 9th 2007 12:23PM (Joystiq Xbox)
You know your comments will only feed the anti-gaming groups.

I am a gamer and it sickens me to hear some of those stories, your video games should be taken away from you as you make us normal gamers look like fools.

I'm pretty sure you are not repsecting the age restriction of those games. You are so out of touch with the real-life it's scary.

RANT: Viral marketing cause of console flame wars?

Jan 26th 2007 3:50PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Microsoft is not even close to be as active as Sony in this field, there is PROOF Sony has been doing this as many such companies do list Sony as their client.

I am a fan of western games, I don't care what consoles they are on as long as I can tell what gender my players are and if they are adults or not.

Peep Double Dragon's XBLA makeover

Jan 26th 2007 10:45AM (Joystiq)
At last!

I have been waiting for this since Xbox Live Arcade was originally announced, they have been using false adverticements before when they call upsclaed sprites designed for QVGA resolutions, high definition games. That was just wrong.

If all the classic games would get a touch up like this I would not feel like I wasted money on a old game I could have gotten for far less money

People who don't like the enhanced versions probably don't even have HDTVs. The old school graphics are fun for 5 minutes when you relive your old days but after that they just make you want to throw up, that's why all games should require enhancements if they were designed for QVGA at least use HQ2X or some filtering and please not use bilinear filtering it's even worse than the original.

Colin McRae consumes DIRT in June

Jan 24th 2007 6:24PM (Joystiq)
@Jan Posted at 5:40PM

Seems like my sources were incorrect, XNS Sports was not a sports division of Microsoft so I don't see why there couldn't be a new RalliSport game.

The EA deal only covered how Microsoft must pay EA when people play EA games on Xbox Live, that's why you must go through registration with EA every time you play a game from them Live.

Colin McRae consumes DIRT in June

Microsoft won't make another RallySport game as EA demanded them to stop competing with them in the Sport genres or else they would not support Xbox Live.

Never has EA been enable to eliminate as many competing game series in a single contract.

'Hold your wee for a Wii' audio recording

have lost faith in humanity. Just reading these comments makes me
sick. Sure I dislike sue-happy Americans like everyone else, but in
this case I believe it's just.We all have moral responsibilities as a
society, and in some countries legally required to prevent events such
as this. Some listener should have contacted 911 immediatly as clearly
things were not right. You should be legally required to fully inform
the contestants and your signature is not valid unless the proper
procedures are performed, in this case not even close.Even if these
DJs were stupid, they clearly knew better but really were trying to
exploit legal holes to kill somone and that should never be accepted
by society. Please put them in jail with all the behind action as
they deserve it.

BTW the new posting system here at Joystiq is broken.

XBLA file size limit raised to 250MB? [Update: nope]

Jan 19th 2007 10:57AM (Joystiq)
Finally, it was a stupid limit to begin with, although they should have made it 600mb then they could port all the good old PC games easily without putting in midi music.

BioWare embracing episodic content for all future projects

Well if they do it like Oblivion that will be OK

Can the PS3 be saved?

Jan 18th 2007 12:11PM (Joystiq)
Microsoft could safe Sony... If Sony would make their tools compatible with XNA.

Real-life Halo suit ready for deployment?

Jan 16th 2007 4:46PM (Joystiq)
Why does everyone react as if it's just a costume he made? It's a fully functional suit not something you wear on Halloween so don't call him names for doing something geeky.
