At the AlphaSmart forum, they've confirmed that you can transfer text tiles to the iPad from the Neo. So you can use the Neo to type up lots of long texts, emails, novel chapters, whatever, and then shoot it over to the iPad for editing or sending. It seems to be a very flexible setup, since the Neo is better at extended typing in many scenarios. Working outside, at the park, for example. Or typing on your lap. The battery goes for 700 hours, too, so, paired with the iPad, you can have a writing/editing setup that will last a LONG time.

I still want a Foleo like there's no tomorrow. By now the usefulness of a mini-note for basic word processing/email/web should be not be in dispute. I just want me some instant-on goodness!

But yeah, probably a good idea that they wanted to focus the company on just one OS. The Foleo in its first version would have spread the company too thin.

I don't understand the hoax accusations. Wrong, yes. Incompetant, yes. But if it were a hoax, they'd would've had something up and running. Now the "hoax" would have to be over... since no one in their right mind will fund them now.

Much as I love my PS2, I agree that it's not good to upgrade to PS3 until Jan 2008 at the earliest. The price cut will no doubt happen by then, and the good games will start coming around then. (Maybe more like May for FF13, but whatever.)

You'd have to be out of your mind to buy the PS3 before next April. The system is going to change BIG TIME, and will be cheaper as well. Oh yeah, and the games are coming then, too.

True in so many ways. Even Sony fans have to admit that it's now best to wait until at least next year. Price cut. Rumble.

A controller with totally new functions is not some slight hardware tweak. Sony has made a serious error and they've realized the need to correct it.

I can't imagine anyone buying the system until at least this Christmas. It'll be cheaper, too.
