Coming from a priest with experience doing this fight, I'm 99% sure you don't need hit rating. For a while I carried the gear JUST for this encounter, but after attempting it a few weeks with none of it, it doesn't seem necessary.

Might not want to forget that damage taken by the shield is absorbed AFTER armor is calculated into the equation.

Not going to lie, it's people that do this that piss me off. >:| Fighting undergeared people and downing their rank due to your boredom doesn't really seem that fair, in my opinion.

This was the only actual instant burst heal we had, and it wasn't entirely, if at all, overpowered (but I'm biased, so). It was always a good "OHSHI--" button in 5mans, and it helped me carry the flag multiple times in WSG in the 50/60 brackets (respec'd Imp DS at 70).
