Madden NFL 09 Pink to support breast cancer foundation

Okay, so when a celebrity actually uses their status to try to bring awareness to an issue and raise funds to address it we should criticize them? I guess it would be better if they just decided to mind their own business and go back to smoking 8-balls and killing hookers.

Jack Thompson disbarred in Florida

You're freaking kidding me....you have to be kidding me. The economy is in the dumps, people are losing their homes and retirements left and right, our candidates for our next leader are more interested in slinging mud at each other an assigning blame than presenting real solutions, Russia is looking to escalate American military involvement overseas further taxing An Armed Force already stretched to the limit and with half our national guard deployed we are two riots away from complete chaos in our cities, and a brief a moment of scheudenfraude somehow makes up for all of that? I hate the term Epic Fail, but somehow this post might merit it.

AGDC08: The Screen Actors Guild wants you to hear its game voice(s)

I agree with Space_butler on this one. Inviting SAG into the industry is a long term recipe for disaster. The fact is, there is enough non-SAG voice talent out there to keep the industry going for quite a while. I see no reason to do a deal with these guys and start carving up a piece of the pie for them.

Korean gold farmers organize

Number 20, the point you are missing is that there was a point when Child Labor, 80 hour work weeks, massive deforestation, and leaded gasoline where not only legal, but were considered perfectly ethical. You are getting lost in the semantics of the metaphor and failing to see the point that previous posters are trying to make. Just because there is a market demand for an item or service does not justify an individual or group of individuals satisfying that demand, especially when specific regulations have been made against it. That is why I and other posters disagree with the faulty logic of this article.

Vista DRM to slow down high-end graphics? [update 1]

Dec 25th 2006 1:04PM (Joystiq)
Ouch. Wow, I was kind of on the fence regarding Windows Vista but this article clenched it for me. I see know reason to upgrade to an OS that is going to handcuff my system that dramatically. The only thing Vistas is even offering that I want is the next version of DirectX and I'm fairly certain that I'll be able to get it without subject my system to the prison sentence that is Vistas.
