Forget the ATI/Intel chipset worries, the biggest worry I have would be the AMD/nVidia chipsets. I know I love mine, and can imagine a large AMD nForce audience out there. Could they possibly kick nVidia out of the AMD chipset market?
Hopefully the game does not become too difficult. A child with cancer that is losing to a video game representation of cancer could become disheartened to say the very least.

Seems natural that the keys you would want to use for movement would be on the left side of the keyboard.
Besides, WASD has many good neighbors - E, R, G, CAPSLOCK, SHIFT, etc. The arrows have no decent equivalents.
