Ok, now just bring Sim City DS over to the US

Today in Joystiq: February 8, 2007

Damnit, Microsoft is coming out with a new version of the 360 that comes with a cat?! I'm feeling the early adopter rapage.

CUBE video takes games to "a whole new dimension"

Feb 1st 2007 7:27PM (Joystiq)
This game looks like utter genius, but I HATE IT WHEN THE TRAILER HAS SPOILERS!!! After seeing LEVEL RED and the dreaded CONE, I almost feel like there's no point to getting this...

Level Red did look pretty sweet though. I suppose I can't resist getting this game, but I'm still upset about the spoilers.

Mortal Kombat coming to the DS

Jan 31st 2007 9:45PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
No, it's going to be Mortal Kombat: Special Forces with touch screen controls :p

Please, Please, make it as close to a direct port of Mortal Kombat II as possible. Everything after MKII has been downhill.

Twilight Easter Eggs

Jan 26th 2007 12:23AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
In the Castle Town, in that one building that has a lot of Gorons selling stuff, there's a Goron on the roof that I believe is selling arrows, and the first time that you talk to him, one of the things he says is "It's a secret to everybody." This tickled my nerdbone in ways you can't imagine.

Super Mario Bros. goes virtual reality

Jan 25th 2007 3:35AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Haha. Jumping through the boss doors in Mega Man, it's like they played the same games that I did when I was a kid.

Castlevania on XBLA, hot whipping action

Jan 9th 2007 3:01PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Dude, this is like the episode of Star Trek where Scotty went nuts.

This is the straw that broke the camel's back in convincing me to get a 360. Now I need to find where to get one used for as cheap as possible. $400 is still too rich for my blood for a video game console.

Real men Wii standing up?

Dec 21st 2006 6:56PM (Joystiq)
Real gamers play video games and enjoy them and don't care whether they're sitting down or standing up, what they look like while playing, or what system they're playing.

Sony owns up to deceptive marketing blog

Dec 13th 2006 6:47PM (Joystiq)
Anyone that thought that this was a good advertisement probably also thinks that standing outside a bowling alley firing a shotgun in the air would be a good marketing technique.
