When you do get an HDTV be sure to get component cables for your Wii and set it to 480p... ignore what everyone else says.. it makes a huge difference.... going from interlaced to progressive scan is a HUGE jump. Same reason why 720p is almost always preferred over 1080i. Oh and 360 looks way nice on an HDTV... honestly I try to avoid using an CRT SDTV for anything anymore. Even SD signals... still looks better on my HD

One time... I had to call Nintendo support... and mentioned how cool it would be if Wii played DVD's (as useless as it would be to me... oh and I know about homebrew DVD playback... That's why I had to call them.... for some reason my Wii wouldn't read discs after that :O ) and the rep said the same thing "we're working on it"

Why do you want to play those on your Wii when there are two other consoles that do it just fine?

I enjoy all of my Wii games on Wii... I do not enjoy very many Wii ports that I've played... and a lot of the Wii shovelware isn't really half bad...

Okay I lied... there are a lot of really bad ... I mean really bad games for Wii..

but hey you'd do it too if you knew they were going to sell (even if a quarter of Wii owners buy your game that's still a crap ton of sales) it's like making a PS2 game.. you almost can't go wrong... kind of why there are a lot of bad downloadable PS3/360 games... it's a cheap way to make a lot of money

Oh yeah... It's just where the industry is going.. I've noticed a lot of crappier PS3/360 games since it's not 9 trillion dollars to develop them anymore... still expensive (especially compared to Wii... which makes developing crappy games even easier!)

Wii's hardware might not be able to keep up with those other consoles... but it sure as hell can hold it's own... blame the developers not the console...

btw everyone needs to stop the gimmick comments.... Wii has been out to long for that... it'd be a gimmick if it failed... I admit sometimes.. a lot of times... motion controlled feels really tacked on.. but it's gimmicky in those games.... that's still not the console or controllers fault... it's developers..

Hmm, not to sound like an ass... but I wish someone would figure out Wii sales in the last week to put an end to comments like this.

I work at a wal-mart in Michigan that sold over 120 Wii's in one day.

Mind you Wal-Mart is currently selling Wii's with a 50 dollar gift card at no extra charge... But I'd say about half of the Wii's I've sold the person buying it didn't even know about that.

The 'fad' isn't going away. It's not a fad... Get used to it... it's here to stay.

You should all just accept that Wii is, and will remain the sales leader of this generation...

I have a Wii, and I love it... I play it as much as my 360... and if I had a PS3 I'm guessing they'd all get about the same amount of play time...

This "homg this console rulez and this console sux" thing is a bit childish ya know.. I grew out of it after I realized I was a moron for my "natal and sony's motion controllerz are not teh leet cuz wii is uber awesome" attitude was obnoxious. They are three amazing consoles... with their own ups and downs... if you don't like one DON'T BUY IT. Oh! And don't sit there and comment about how much it sucks. No body likes trolls... not even trolls like trolls.

Yeah but then uosafihdtv will be out 2 years later.. so whats the point?
