Mar 24th 2007 1:21PM (Joystiq)Not unlike Space Giraffe, perhaps? That one's expected to be gameplay complete as of end of March, according to a recent posting on Game Informer, yonder - http://www.gameinformer.com/NR/exeres/16B4AE3D-D867-4191-B917-7B5294D6FE24.htm from Jeff Minter's latest blog update.

Aug 16th 2006 2:04AM (Joystiq)First Bully game trailer now up
Aug 11th 2006 2:38AM (Joystiq)Even with the obvious fact that the footage comprises for the most part of cutscenes, what's shown points towards a game, that looks like it could be great fun to play! Lots of the things I wanted to see included appear to have been, in terms of Jimmy's interaction with the school, which is good.
They've quite surpassed what I thought they'd show, tbh. (Although, I didn't know what to expect.)
It looks like an entertaining game, that's going to be well worth the time, for everyone that isn't utterly impaired by "mature" blinkers, to the extent that they'll be able to see Bully as a game in its own right, and not just an "incontroversial Rockstar game". *sighs*
Realise that any "Bully is going to damage our kids" style Thompson-baiting coverage was (at least from the impression of the trailer) wide of the mark - Not that a lot of the more sensationlist reporting often isn't. But, I don't blame reporters. Those guys didn't have the full game, or in all likelihood a renotely complete one, from which to judge. After that, look at what is there, rather than what isn't. This game isn't a sequel; and therefore, shouldn't be judged as such.
#5, if your story about your friend is true, be sure to let him know that the voicework in the trailer is indeed hilarious, and imho very well done. :)
It's a humorous game, not a bloody one. You want to play a humourous game? The enrol queue will be forming outside your favourite games store, in October.

Aug 9th 2006 5:46AM (Joystiq)There's some info.

I hope that proves useful.
Rockstar pulls plug on Xbox Bully?
Aug 3rd 2006 11:25PM (Joystiq)Spong reported on the 2nd that they had, not long before the article was posted, concluded a phonecall with R* UK about Bully. The call confirmed the dropping of the Xbox version, and also that the game would "definitely" release by this Christmas.
Spong's article encouragingly notes that: "we were promised that we will be seeing a lot more on the title ‘very soon indeed’"
I'm really looking forward to getting to play Bully; and it's release happening before the year's through is great news for me! :D

I don't believe anyone outside of SCI is any the wiser about Crystal Dynamics' vision of the game.

It's a leaked internal presentation video, and that's just placeholder music.

Jul 12th 2006 3:52PM (Joystiq)I don't have the kit to play either Crysis/BF2142 (didn't want BF:MC so I've little reason to vigorously pursue the sequel) and "licensed sports yearly rehash 200x"...You're kidding, right?
Two things:
a)License= Focus on promotion and budget, not fun. Often SERIOUSly not fun.
b)I can buy a competitors title, same sport, no shackles, and oodles more fun to boot...Usually for less. ;) (often the licence is irrelevent to me anyway - I just want to play a basketball title, it doesn't matter who's playing to me, as long as the game's fun, and with a strong sense of its own identity.)
Ad critic: Sony's racially charged PSP ad [update 1]

Jul 4th 2006 8:44PM (Joystiq)I don't much like the image of the black woman being stood over and held back by the white woman. That's not an aggressive (as in the claws shot) action, but clearly a restrictive one. But if the message is "White PSP>Black PSP", then why is the black woman holding the white woman down on the ground in one image?
I don't call racism on it, but it is probably tripping a line.
