I don't need a warning, because I would happily pay $15, $20, or $30 for an XBLA game if I felt that the game was worth the price. I think most '1200+ pt XBLA game fanboys' would agree.

If we were to embrace the mindset that all XBLA titles should cost $10 or less, then developers will only make games that are worthy of $10 or less. And frankly, the majority of the games that fit that criteria so far have sucked.

First off, you don't understand the definition of 'hypocrite'. If they had criticized Braid for being too expensive, then yes, they'd be hypocrites. But instead, they support it, as you stated above.

Secondly, you say that the pricing precedent was set with PA, but what you recognize is that PA had a much higher budget and higher production values than most XBLA titles. Your argument would be valid if, say, we got a game almost identical to an existing XLBA title but cost much more.

And if you can't sell, borrow or do anything with XBLA titles once you're done with them, why are you interested in them at any price?

So.. pricing an XBLA game at $15 is as morally corrupt as cheating? You make a strong argument, sir!

Did you actually read my post? I wasn't comparing the games, I was questioning his close-minded notion that any title released on XBLA has to be cheap, seemingly regardless of quality.

Would the sentiment be any less true if the comic were to be made by someone else?

Didn't think so.

Why should the manner of distribution dictate the price of the game? If Gears of War or Fable were to be released on XBLA instead of through typical retail channels, would $15 still be too much? After all, it would just be an 'arcade game', wouldn't it?
