320GB hard drive coming to Xbox 360 S models for $130 this month
Oct 11th 2011 3:35PM (Joystiq)But I can plug any USB hard drive of any size into my PS3, or just buy a standard hard drive. I also don't have to buy the Sony branded memory cards. I can always (and usually do) go with another brand, like SanDisk.
So it is different. I don't HAVE to pay out the ass for the privilege of a branded logo on the memory I use for my Sony products.
When I needed more memory on my Xbox 360, the best I could do is a 16 GB thumb drive if I didn't want to pay extra for the logo.

Oct 6th 2011 2:25PM (Joystiq)Energy Armor markets products to athletes and sports fans (who want to dress like athletes).
Electronic Arts markets products to sports fans (often with clothing, hats, and wrist bands featuring a very similar EA logo along with a baseball/football/hockey puck background.)
I'd say they have a more than legit case in this one. And I'd say Energy Armor was more than aware of the popularity EA Sports when they chose this logo.

Aug 15th 2011 7:46PM (Joystiq)See, I feel like I'm bending over and taking it if I buy from Steam. I bought a bunch of games over there that I've never been able to make work on my PC (including the OddBox, which I really wanted to play through) and I've never been able to get them to work on my Windows 7 machine. And the Steam support folks have never answered any of my tickets.
EA support may take forever and a day, but at least they answered my questions (eventually).
(I'm also really annoyed at Joystiq's misinformation, because I pre-ordered this from D2D and saved $6, so I know you don't have to go through Origin.)

Wonder why people have knee jerk EA hate? Maybe because of misleading (and outright untrue) reporting?
