Doesn't add features other than the ability to switch off ads but Instapaper's integration w/Qrank (so you save the source docs for some game questions to be read later) has proven to be invaluable to me so $1 is well worth it.

Went the refurb route w/my maxed MBA 13". SSD compliments the older gen processor nicely and much easier to lug around than a white polycarb Macbook. Just waiting on the SSD prices at OWC to come down before upgrading to more storage and speed ($1,180 for 360GB - crickey!)

Ditto on extending the network via AEXp - so simple compared to Belkin. The only time they get power cycled is after a software/firmware upgrade.

...and since I'm replying anyway, need to make a correction to the explanation. It should read, "which is when I started HER on the Mac". I've been using a Mac since the 90s, starting w/a Mac IIsi. Macs have been a blessing as she went from newbie to knowledgeable...

...another correction - instead of "pique" her interest, I should have written "renewed". That's what you get when waking up at 2.30a CST to order an iPad and then waking up at 5.30a to get ready for work and thinking you're making sense when your fingers aren't keeping up w/your thoughts. It would be great if she starts playing again, even occasionally as I'm sure that'll keep the "little gray cells" active...

...a sobering thought: while I woke up early to order the iPad, it wasn't until the second wake up that I learned about the earthquake in Japan. Puts things in perspective...

Grateful to TUAW for the heads up on the pre-3a (Central) ordering availability. Black 64GB engraved: Mom, an Apple a day helps keep dementia away (since 2004) - which is when I started on the Mac. Now, three laptops (G3, G4, MacTel) and two iPods (Nano and Touch) later, I'm hoping that GarageBand will pique her interest in the piano - fell by the wayside due to arthritis.

Don, looks like a WaterField Designs product. I bought one for a white carbonate MacBook and it now protects a MacBook Air. Though a bit pricey, they are well made and top quality.

Terrific game but online play seems to lag from time to time - very frustrating during the Jack Attack. Also agree that there are cheaters online - telling when they answer the question before Cookie reads all the answers. And who the heck wins over ninety (some one hundred) percent of their games? Still, the "wrong answer of the game" is a cool wrinkle, so buy it now there's a lower price.
