I have to agree that the $60 price point is the major issue. With an upfront cost of about $200 for the console plus accessories (controllers, batteries, LIVE for xbox, internet costs, etc) gaming is an expensive hobby. It becomes hard to justify $60 per game.

I really think cutting the price to about $30-40 would allow more gamers to purchase a greater number of new games. I would assume that this would increase initial sales numbers and could deter gamers from used games (by closing the difference b/t new and used prices and hurting trade-in value therefore making it more valuable to keep a greater number of games.)

Generally speaking, there will always be people who try to get it free just like there are people who aren't interested in gaming. I think that a price drop coupled with incentives, such as downloadable content, will increase the number and retention of games in the hands of gamers.

I thought the same thing, but looking back to screens of FNR3 I said the same thing. It will probably look a lot better in motion.

I could go for a Saints Rows RTS. I don't want GTA to go that route so Saint's Row would be good enough

I've yet to play Gears 2 online and I've had the game since day one. I guess I'll just hold off for awhile.
