425000 units is still like $60M dollars in hardware sales. As long as they aren't taking a loss on the hardware, and put out a few decent titles, I wouldn't worry.

Anecdotally, in my group of formerly DS-loving friends, a full 33% of us have picked up a PSP this year, one person even saying "I feel like I've wasted the last 4 years of my life on the DS". Most of them also will not be putting CFW on theirs, and have the money to pick up games.

PSP has a compelling back catalog for new users. This is where most of the growth will be, I think.

Damn, I should have waited to pick up patapon. I bought it when it came out for $20 and haven't played it yet because I dropped over a hundred hours on FF Tactics WOtL since then.
