Tycho Brahe weighs in On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness

May 21st 2008 12:53PM (Joystiq)
got the osx demo earlier, played it for about 10 minutes and laughed at least 6 times. was instantly compelled to buy the full version. i've never really sat down and read penny arcade, but the writing and style of the game makes me think maybe i should be doing just that.

absolutely stand up job guys, well done.

English towns equipping crossing guards with cameras

May 1st 2008 8:47AM (Engadget)
i like the idea, personally. i remember when i was a wee-man, the lollipop lady or man always helped you across the street, made sure you didn't die or anything. it seems pretty crap to think of them getting run over and getting aggro from motorists and the like... i was reading about it in the times earlier on, and some of the stuff that happens out there is pretty shocking. i figure if the cameras make it easier to give the rage filled motorists the £1000 fine, 3 points on their license or imprisonment they deserve, then go for it.

British High Court upholds Manhunt 2 ban

hey, we don't have a constitution that says we've got free speech. it doesn't exist in the UK, no such thing.

and all judges are referred to as "Justice (surname)", it's sort of like being "Reverend" or having PhD at the end of your name...

that was sodding brilliant. yahtzee gets better every week. my favourite part was in the end bit when he said "yes, you do realise this is just a piece of wood, with the word resumé written on it...?"
