Fragile videos are awesomely heartbreaking

I cannot wait for this one. It looks so amazing. This and Muramasa have me drooling.

Nippon Ichi's Wii project a Phantom Brave port

Oh right Yan. The Wii could never handle Disgaea 3. Have you seen the game? We're not talking Metal Gear Solid 4 here, buddy. It's a very simple game, graphically.

Phantom Brave?? Mehhhh. I didn't like it. I was hoping Nippon Ichi was going to port the Disgaeas, or maybe give us a Wii Disgaea 3. Or even more awesome, give us a console version of Prinny: Can I really Be a Hero. Boo Phantom Brave.

It's a sure thing, says the rep from XSeed games. Where's that email, hang on..

"Hi Stephen,

Appreciate the heads-up on Fragile, it's a title that has been requested before though we don't know much about it yet at this point. We'll keep our eye on it.

As for RIZ-ZOAWD, I wouldn't worry about it too much - it's definitely coming to the US, if not by us then by someone else.

Miyamoto assures the core Nintendo is working on games for them

Oct 28th 2008 8:54PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
That's the weird thing. Last generation I owned a PS2 and a Gamecube. The generation before, a PS1 and an N64. This is the first time since the SNES that I haven't felt the need to own anything other than Nintendo's offering. And people say there's nothing worthwhile on the system. I have a backlog of titles to play.

Amen, Sonic. Nice to see someone being positive.

Wow, for a second there I thought I was on Kotaku. This is WiiFanboy.com people. Stop complaining. You don't go to a fansite to moan about how much you hate it. And honestly, I thought talk like this was reserved for Playstation and XBox people. You know, the ones who like to say the Wii has nothing worth playing because they aren't paying attention? Between now and Christmas we have Deadly Creatures, Mushroom Men, Sam & Max Season 1, Tales of Symphonia 2, Animal Crossing and Little King's Story. That's not to mention the great stuff that came out recently like De Blob and Wario Land Shake It. And don't get me started on what 2009 has to offer. You people just love to complain. Is it the lack of M rated titles? Because if so, you bought the wrong system and shouldn't be whining about your poor judgement on a Nintendo fansite.

Wii Warm Up: Mega Busted

Sep 27th 2008 11:40AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
It's a great game, and I don't miss the charge or slide as much as I thought I would. What I do miss, however, is the ability to switch weapons without opening a menu. I thought the (-) button might do the trick, but it only pulls up a series of XBox style achievements, which I find kind of unnecessary. In all though, fantastic game. I hope this leads to more retro gaming development.

Wii Warm Up: Are they still playing?

Sep 14th 2008 3:28PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Okay. We'll start with yours.

Guitar Hero WT
de Blob
Star Wars TFU
Animal Crossing
Disaster Day of Crisis

Then, let's see..

Sam & Max Season 1
Samba de Amigo
Wario Land Shake It
Deadly Creatures
Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars
Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
MadWorld
Little King's Story
The Conduit
Mega Man 9
Animales de la Muerte
Strong Bad's Cool Game Episodes 2-5

Star Wars and Guitar Hero weren't on my count when I posted last. So 17 games. And that's counting the Strong Bad games as one.

Wii Warm Up: Are they still playing?

Haha.. Upset Nintendo Supporter. Posts like that make me laugh. I haven't seen so many good games on a single console in generations. But quality is all about what you're looking for. If The Conduit is what will make or break the Wii for you, I have good news. There's an FPS-specific console already on the market. It's called the Xbox 360. If you bought a Wii, you should have expected more variety, and that's exactly what Nintendo and the Wii's third party developers have delivered. I could name 15 games for the Wii coming between now and Christmas that are definitely worth your attention.
