K4rn4ge to attempt 1 billion-point Geometry Wars high score

Dec 8th 2006 10:46AM (Joystiq)
Whoa, kiddos..... it was a "joke".... i'm married and have a toddler, and a still consider myself a "hardcore" gamer... so am i still aloud to joke around, or does that eliminate my opinion from the might Joystiq Ranks?

Thus, i can definitely respect what Karnage (i'm not f****g with all the numbers and symbols, so Karnage it is) is doing. That's a helluva high score. Period. Bravo, well done.

Bottom line? IT WAS A JOKE. I'm sure Mr. Karnage has a fabulous girlfriend, job, etc.

Jealousy? Ignorance? I was thinking more or less 'comedy"... i'm sure Karnage can handle a little good natured ribbing. Plus, it's fun to perpetuate loser gamer stereotypes. Why you ask? Irony, friends. Every gamer i know is either a student, successful citizen, or a family man. Gamer's = nerds is like soooooo 1992. Gaming is a viable entertainment medium, and thus.... you could just as easily say "People who watch movies don't have girlfriends"

Soooo.... anyway, i love you all my Joystiq family unit.

#16 - Unfortunately, i cannot play Geo Wars at work, or i would.

I can, however, go the whole "paid to post" route.

Unfortunately... Even if he breaks one billion, he'll still be leaps and bounds behind his current standing record of going a consecutive 137 billion straight seconds without ever seeing a girl naked...

HIYOOOOO... try the lamb, tip your waitress... i'll be here all... well, for another 10 minutes actually.

Engadget HD giveaways: win a Samsung HL-S5679W DLP with LED backlight

Nov 21st 2006 6:07PM (Engadget HD)
An XBOX 360 and a Wii as of right now. All though, if i do in fact win said TV, i will be fashioning a Wiimote wriststrap made out of admantium and carbon fiber so as not to wii-missle my TV and shatter that sexy screen.

The only HD in my life stands for Heavy Drinking due to lack of HiDef.

Engadget HD FTW and the remedy?! One can only hope.

Xbox 360 "Jump In" promo wins Addy

Oh yeah.... teh sarscasm. I forgot all about teh sarscasm... i enjoy teh sarscasm.

Damnit. Now that i read my posts, i sound like some militant raving black panther.

Not so much. Just irked me if that dude was being serious.

...also, before i forget, lets not forget about the fact that there IS such a thing called niche marketing, "stanger".

Would you be more inclined to buy a 360 if the advert contained a bunch of white kids in ICP t-shirts and JNCO's playing a pick-up game of hockey in a suburban Iowa town?

Your mindset makes me laugh... as mine probably does you.

But there in lies the difference. I'm not taking myself seriously. When you ask "where's all the white people?" ... wel.....you are. And that's pretty sad.

#4 - Stranger?

Are you kidding me? Did you and your white friends play alot of double dutch growing up in the hood? I didn't think so.

Just wait 10 seconds and i'm sure your emotions will be appeased through some Lost pilot or some other preview of the 4 kazillion shows on television that fail to represent any minority of any kind.

Then again, i'm sure your the type who's upset because there isn't a "White Entertainment Network" or something just as ignorant.

Closet racism is soooooo 2005.

First looks at Viva Pinata

May 10th 2006 1:28PM (Joystiq)
I look forward to being able to fire up Viva Pinata and log some game time with my daughter. I think this is great for the 360. For a console that is completely oversaturated with FPS titles, Viva Pinata is a welcome and refreshing change. Hopefully it is executed in a way that the concept is not the only "good" thing about this game. Glaring weaknesses in gameplay or, for example, menu design could be something that kills a game like this.

But anyway, i for one, will be picking up a copy so that me and my 3 year old can actually log some 360 time together.

Day 30 of Engadget Mobile's 30 days of cellphone giveaways

Mar 14th 2006 3:33PM (Engadget Mobile)
The last day and my sentiments haven't changed a bit...

I've said it before, and i'll say it again:

If i win a phone: You, the fine folks at Engadget, have the right to chain me to an excercise bike (circa 1987) in the HQ basement and feed me nothing but Bugles and Red Bull while i pedal at a steady cadence in order to power a generator that will charge all the gadgets plugged in at Engadget HQ.

*Don't worry about the bitter-cold basement conditions... i'll just keep warm by staying close to all the XBOX 360 Power Supplies..... HIYOOOOOO! Tip you're waitress and try the lamb.*
