Ticket to Ride Pocket updates, adds asynchronous mode

Feb 2nd 2012 10:14AM (Joystiq)
While I can't deny the fact of asynchronous play being convenient for some users, but most of the time I want to play a synchronous multiplayer game. Where I don't have to sit around waiting for people to finish "doing whatever they're doing" and get back to playing the game, so I can make my next move. It seems most people start a game and then just leave it sit there when things may not be going their way.

League of Legends will shut down its Mac client Tuesday, so play now

Sep 4th 2011 7:02PM (Joystiq)
Hmm, I didn't even realize that they had a Mac client or I would have tried it out.

However, both DOTA2 and Heroes of Newerth have native Mac clients, so I don't think there is too big of a hole in the PC MOBA market left by LoL.

I know what they need, a mute button! Then they don't have to listen to their teammates yell at them how they suck and to leave the game.

Steamworks DRM honestly is the best because at least all the games use it. The only thing bad is I can't transfer game ownership from one user to another for a period of time.

Rock Band store accessories and the drum bag

Nov 21st 2007 1:51PM (Joystiq)
Pshh I'm not going to hide the drums. It's a great way to get others involved in the game. Besides the huge space it consumes it's a great way to introduce someone to the game.

"Hey what's that thing for?"
"Oh, it's for rock band, wanna see?"
"Sure!"

NCSoft unveils Carbine, armed with former WoW, Fallout devs

Oct 4th 2007 6:27PM (Joystiq)
Good for them. With WoW and Fallout devs I can come up with some interesting concepts. Too bad it will be probably 3 years (at least) before we see anything that they do.
