Really looking forward to more games like this but $5.99 seems a little pricey, especially given the weird controls on that platform.

Yeah, that is surprising but Blizzard said they're going to provide the Mac standalone patches soon and Big Download will host those soon!

GDC: Spielberg on Wii Exclusive Info

Mar 9th 2007 4:05AM (old GameDaily blog)
I think the implication is pretty clear.

"I can't really share any game details, but recall our original announcements was for three projects. Well, two of those are underway right now in the studio."

So, based on the previous question, it's established we're talking about the Spielberg projects. And he's now focusing on two of them.

"The first one, what I can tell you is what you'd expect, sort of, from a Steven Spielberg production. Steven's stories are intimate stories that take place around huge, world-changing events... sort of, big stories shown through the eyes of a small group. Doug Church is producing it..."

That's one. Spielberg project one. Now it's kind of odd, but Neil goes on to finish his thought of talking about the two Spielberg games.

"The second project is something Lou Castle is producing, one of the great producers in this industry, and that's one of the products we're building for the Wii. Very exciting and interesting..."

That's two. Spielberg project two.

I think... yeah. I think you've been pwned.

Rumor: MTV acquiring 1UP, adding to their collection

Remember, the GameTrailers crew are the ones who have done several shoots for MS themselves (I should know, I worked for them). I'm not talking the branded GT ones, I mean ones that were used as MS videos for the 360.

Everyone's gotta eat, I guess. I just don't think I'd trust, let's say, Joystiq's blog if their lead editor also wrote marketing copy for Sony's PS3 website.

Rumor: MTV acquiring 1UP, adding to their collection

#4 -- Not being smarmy, but you make it sound like MTV made Guitar Hero, not Harmonix and RedOctane. They did have the foresight to buy them, but it can't be denied that, overall, MTV has had a negative impact on music and popular culture (watch the channel for 15 min, seriously). Getting into games isn't necessarily great news.

Give it time, they'll start tinkering with Guitar Hero, probably sooner than later. And 1up.com, it's sort of a match made in heaven for them (style > substance), but reading that story you have to feel for the future of the Ziff and MTV/GT guys and any conflicts that will arise from bringing the two groups together, that always sucks. :(
