Dude, Warren Ellis is probably THE BEST current writer in comics these days. I like a lot of Moore's older stuff(Watchman, as do we all...), but he's gotten sort of...eh, curmudgeony as of late. Ellis, on the other hand, proves that there is no genre he can't write. Sci-Fi, comedy, pulp, whatevs. Ellis slays it all.
I think a lot of you are missing the point about this. When people are saying "ZOMG, teh 360 had this from day 1", it's not so much a claim to the superiority of the 360(I hope; if so, grow up), but it's more of a condemnation on the Sony engineers. Where are the people that gave us the Walkman, or the Discman? The PS3 had a year to get its shit together, so why couldn't there be in-game XMB from the start???
That said, I don't really see how it's that big of a deal. While I own the 360, I really don't spend that much time dicking around in the blades while I'm playing a game. Most of the time, I'm using my game console to GASP!, play a game. The same thing can be said for all that "functionality" that the PS3 has. I believe MMM said he was typing a paper, surfing the web, etc. I already have a computer for that. Why am I going to spend $499+ just to consolidate it into a machine that I generally use to avoid the aforementioned tasks? As for Blu-Ray....well, I don't have an HDTV, and DVD's seem good enough to me for now.
Gotta say that I dig my Xbox 360. Sure it red ringed once, but the way that Microsoft took care of it was aces. Plus, got a free month of Live out of the deal.
Don't you think it would be more "insensitive" and "short-sighted" to have the game take place in Africa(I heard Carribean Islands at one point) and have it be full of white people? Why is it that every time a minority is used as a villian when it is regionally approriate to use said minority, the first thing out of everyone's mouths is "RACISM"??
