While this is highly unethical, I don't believe cloning a game design should be illegal. Think of all the BS lawsuits it would lead to. Companies would be suing left and right if any other games popped up with slightly similar gameplay.

Goldfinger, Less Than Jake, The Offspring...those guys were the core of my music tastes growing up. The PSN/XBLA version of Crazy Taxi just wasn't the same without its original soundtrack.

On another note, a lot of these guys have either moved to small independent labels or started their own, and would probably be easier to work with.

I think his point was that the light should not have been green. The pace car driver is going to be getting orders over the radio, and if the those in charge tell him to do another lap and the light operator messes up and accidentally gives the green they are going to go by the race coordinators.

Also I can't tell too well but it looks like they were past the main light already when it went green.
