Personally, I hate it when ads try to sell products with such crap. Not only is it just a subtler form of the old 'buy our stuff! it makes you cooler!'kind of advertising, how sad do they think their consumers really are if they have to get directions about their life from a FRIGGING company or product? But then again, this obviously targets Sony Fanboys so maybe they're on the right track -_-....

Sony might as well have just thrown their money down the drain with these ads. They certainly won't influence people who weren't already thinking of buying the ps3, to come buy the ps3. And that's why I consider it a failure.

As someone who's studied marketing before, this ad fails. It does get people to talk, true, but it fails to get people to mentally position the PS3 as the brand they want to get in this current gen. Unless exploding babies or suitcases of money that blow somehow make people want to buy a ps3.

How to make existing ps3 owners very happy? Announce software emulation for BC for America AND Japan.

This is insane considering that I live in Singapore and we're getting the wii for 799 SGD, which is roughly about the same in aussie dollars, give or take 40 bucks. And we've got a population of 3+ million. Why is there so much of a price difference??

Sheesh, I wish all the people complaining about their lack of games on the wii would start selling it to us who dont have the system yet. Bunch of whiners
