Man, we have a lot of potential 'analysts' in this thread -_-. Geez, the frigging article is about a 360 special offer, why must fanboys bring blu-ray movies and HD-DVD into this. Are they all so desperate for acknowledgment and reassurance that their ps3/HD-drive isn't going to bomb and they aren't going to be stuck with a machine that can play certain movies but no games??

What's that got to do with anything? Like the above poster said, the extra 100 goes towards buying GAMES since thats what the 360 and the ps3 are supposed to be, Game consoles -_-. It's not like anyone even mentioned buying 2 or more HD-DVDs to watch with that extra 100.

Geez, sony fanboys must be desperate. Instead of claiming their machine has great games, or will have great games, now they're going for the 'Hey, you can play blu-ray movies on it!' defense.

As someone who lives in Singapore, I'd have to say I'm not offended by it or think it discriminates against asians or anything. But yeah, it's a stupid ad.

Uh...I was under the impression that Japan and America were one region for Ps3 and europe was another region, ergo PS3 still regionlocked, americans and japanese rejoice, europeans still screwed.

Hmm, I don't quite get this article. As far as I know, FFXI is a MMO in which the player connects to SE's servers to play. But for normal online games, I was under the impression, we needed friend codes cause people connected to each other machines to play; kinda like xboxlive matchmaking for halo2 and GoW.
So how does a friend code stop people from connecting to SEs server? Or even hinder people from playing FFXI?

Well, if we consider the fact that the ps2 only had 6 years of life (2000-2006)and was quite popular from the start, it shouldnt be surprised that the first 4 years of its sales curently exceed the last 2 years of its sales would it?
