hey guys, new release Nitrobike by ubi-soft with online multiplayer is on sale for 29.99 at amazon. just checked(7:30 am) so it still might be at that price.

doubt it's worth its $50 price tag, but for $30, maybe. check it out for yourself.

minor marathons

once played master of monsters(strategy) on the sega genesis from start to finish (had to, the battery save was dead so i couldn't save my progress)

once played shogun total war on pc for about 12 hrs straight. had to quit when i started getting motion sickness and nausea staring at the pc screen so much.

once dozed off(does that still count?) during an 18 hr marathon of romance of the 3 kingdoms 2 on the super nes. fortunately it is a strategy game and i dozed off during a static map screen. btw, to the other rot3k player, i think it was liu bei(green), sun quan(red), and cao cao(purple).

I had 50 bucks ready to go for last yrs Romance game, and it never came. now i have 50 ready to go if Nobunaga ever comes. bring it over Koei, my 50 is ready.


and when is Koei's Gemfire from the 16-bit days coming to VC??

i think those target deals start on wed after Christmas(it'll be in their ad that morning). it opens at 7am so get there early to get those games listed. also, check out the endcaps around the electronics area and you'll find one that has all sorts of clearance items on it, including games. was able to pick up mlb 2k7 and nba live for $10 each for ps3 that way.

glad to see i'm not the only one that pre-ordered Game Party(only $19 at amazon, maybe less if price drops before shipping). passed on the $40 Carnival Games so i figured this $19 similarly-themed budget title will do.

Puzzle Quest is also a possibilty. and for fun, that's free, i intend to read reviews for Cruis'n.

i'll still be interested in the "fad" in 2008

games looking forward to or interested in: no more heroes, ssbb, mario kart online, endless ocean, houses of the dead 2&3, fragile, tales of symphonia 2, okami, spore, civilization, wii music, king's story, apollo justice: ace attorney, shiren the wanderer, animal crossing, star wars: force unleashed, red steel 2, disaster: day of crisis, and the final fantasy and dragon quest games if they are still coming.

hopes and expectations: more quality games and less shovelware and ports; sequels to f-zero, pilotwings; lots of 2-d side-scrolling action on wii-ware; and more online-enabled games.

ten bucks says the winner is putting down the game on the xbox forums cause it's mario/non-hd and ebaying it to fund his halo 3 purchase.

I am. But this COULD be better than just another average collection of mini-games. This, and EA Playground are both going for that Wii Sports experience and that's a good thing. Since Wii Sports 2 may be a long ways off, i'm definitely gonna pick up one of these two.
